Laser & Vision Correction Coming Soon

Refractive Surgery

Freedom from glasses and contacts is coming to Great Lakes Eye Care. We’ll soon offer laser vision correction and lens-based options, led by our exclusive refractive surgeon, Dr. Alex Stoddard.

Refractive surgery reshapes the way light focuses in your eye, reducing — and often eliminating — the need for glasses and contact lenses. For many people, it means waking up and simply seeing clearly.

We’re bringing these procedures to Great Lakes Eye Care with the same care and precision you expect from us. When the program launches, Dr. Alex Stoddard and his refractive surgery team will guide each patient through a personalized evaluation to find the option that fits their eyes and their goals.

The procedures we’ll offer

LASIK

A quick, well-established laser procedure that reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Most patients are back to their daily routine within a day or two, and many notice clearer vision almost immediately.

PRK

A proven, highly effective laser procedure that delivers the same excellent visual outcomes as LASIK. For many eyes and lifestyles it’s the ideal choice — with a strong safety profile and no corneal flap, making it especially well-suited to active patients.

ICL (Implantable Lens)

A soft, biocompatible lens placed inside the eye to correct vision — an excellent option for people who aren’t ideal candidates for laser surgery. It works especially well for higher prescriptions and can be removed if your vision needs ever change.

Refractive Lens Exchange

Replaces the eye’s natural lens with an advanced artificial lens to correct vision — similar to cataract surgery, but done to reduce dependence on glasses. A great option for those with presbyopia or higher prescriptions who want a lasting solution.
